No. 24b - Honiton, picnic
Rev Langhorne (Guv), two unidentified choristers, unidentified lady (presumably member of staff of one of Langhorne's daughters (possibly Ruth) who helped out at Honiton.
Commentary by Eric Dare: I recognize only Guv. On Saturdays in the summer, Guv took the boys to a hilly spot with woods behind, where the boys were divided into two groups, one defending the top wooded area, the others trying to get in without being caught. I experienced this when I had a few days there at the beginning of the first holiday from Blundell's. I had left Exeter Cathedral at Easter (before the bombing). The choristers having longer terms were still at school.
