Commentary by Eric Dare: Taken from the foot of the steps to the Singing School.
The group of people near the far wall, on the right, could include Langhorne, the man wearing his characteristic wide-brimmed hat. They appear to stand in front of a set of goal posts painted onto the wall, presumably for the boys' playtimes.
Damage to the rear roof of No. 10 The Close (the current Deanrery) can be seen, with the east end of the Cathedral quire beyond.
