Chapter House rehearsal

The choristers are holding copies of The Cowley Carol Book (published in various editions from 1901 onwards). Behind Mr Stevens can be seen the list of the Bishops of Exeter, still (2021) haning at the west end of the Chapter House. There are some timber stalls in front and behind the boys, placed there for the regular rehearsals that took place here at this time.
