1990
Ordination in the nave, looking west from the organ screen. On the left can be seen Decani men and boys, and on the right the Cantoris boys. At the time, there were two ordinations a year, Michaelmas (September) and Petertide (July). From the type of clothing of the congregation, this looks like the September one.
Decani men: (from east to west) Philip Hobbs (tenor), Tom Scratchley (tenor), Julian Sutton (bass), John Turner (bass), Andrew Simmonds (alto), Mike Dobson (alto).
Decani trebles: Richard Reynolds is Head Chorister and the
boy looking at the camera is Ben Crawshaw.
Cantoris trebles: Crispin d'Apice would have been Deputy and
James Green is 3rd from the Organ screen.

Some of the gentlemen in concert, at the Soirée for St David's Day in the Chapter House. Con Moto was a close harmony group usually comprising just by the choral scholars, that performed during the 1980s and 1990s. The Lay Vicar equivalent was (and still is) the Lucy-Anne Singers. The group shown here seems to have been neither, as it is a combination of both!
